Bitumen

Bitumen is a sticky, black and highlyviscousliquid or semi-solid oil based substance. It is created in a separation stage where the crude oil is processed and separated into different cuts on the basis of their boiling range

In estimation, the current world use of bitumen is about 102 million tonnes per year. About 85% of bitumen use is for road construction and production of asphalt. It is also used in other paved areas such as airport runways, car parks and footways. 10% of the global bitumen production is used for roofing facilities because of its water proofing quality. The remaining 5% of bitumen is used mainly for sealing and insulating purposes in a variety of building materials, such as pipe coatings, carpet tile backing and paint

At Golden Trade, we provide two different grades of bitumen that are 60/70 and 85/100

60/70

This bitumen grade is obtained from petroleum by evaporating the lighter hydrocarbons and the partial oxidation of the residue. This kind of the bitumen apears in a semi-solid form and in a brown to black colour. The main usage of this cut is in road construction in hot regions.  The exact specifications of this cut are presented in the table bellow.

BITUMEN 60/70

85/100

It`s kind of bitumen which is provided during the process of oxidation of vacuum bottom(VB) which is the bitumen production feedstock that derives from distillation tower residue in vacuum oil refineries at bitumen production units. The common use of this cut of bitumen is in road making and construction in cold regions. The exact specifications of this cut are shown in the table below.
